The light of international gaming industry will soon shine even brighter as the news about the new Las Vegas-style entertainment city is expected to start rising in the Philippines particularly in the city of Manila. This ambitious project has caught the attention of the biggest gaming investors in the world.The project is an initiative of Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) and is construction is expected to start before the third quarter of 2008. The $10-billion Entertainment City will be located in a reclaimed land along the Manila Bay. The Bagong Nayong Pilipino Entertainment City is the biggest project undertaken by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).

The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp (PAGCOR) is finalizing the issuance of gaming licenses both foreign and local investors who expressed plans to set up casinos and other entertainment facilities inside the 800-hectare Entertainment City. The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp already had discussions with the big names in the gaming industry like Genting International of Malaysia, Wynn Resorts Ltd., and Storm International BV to put up facilities inside the Entertainment City . Meanwhile, the SM Investments Corp., the one of the Philippines largest mall operators said that it would also participate in a $1-billion casino project.

According to the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp (PAGCOR, the Bagong Nayong Pilipino Manila Bay Integrated City project is estimated to cost between $10 billion and $20 billion.
