Google provides syntax to make searches more accurate and easier. With Google syntax, you can create simple and effective search queries. Hereunder are the most common Google syntaxes that can help you in your searches.
Inurl:
This syntax restricts the Google search result to websites having the search keyword.
Example: inurl:friendster layouts
This will return only websites addresses with pages having “friendster layouts in the URL.
intitle:
This will restrict the results to pages that have a particular word anywhere in the web page title.
Example: intitle:click here to submit
This will return pages having “click here to submit” in the title.
cache:
This will look for web pages that Google has in its cache.
Example: cache:www.weightlosshaven.info
This will display the Google’s cache of the weightlosshaven.info homepage.
related:
This will display webpages with similarity with the specified website address.
Example: related:www.ipod-world.info
This will display web pages that are similar to the homepage of ipod-world.info.
intext:
This syntax will look for the words in a specific webpage. It will disregard the link, web page titles and URLs.
Example: intext:car
This will display web pages that have the keyword “car” on its page.
