Google unveils new program that will sell software package to third-party software vendors. These software applications include email, word processing and other business applications. This move will definitely increase Google’s revenue besides Internet advertising.

Google premium software service users will pay $50 every year, Third party software vendors will enjoy 20 % percent discount. There are about 50 software vendors who are licensed to sell Google software applications.

Educational institutions and non-profit organizations will still enjoy unlimited access to open source version of Google’s software programs.

This mountain view-based company is working aggressively to lessen its dependence on Internet advertising. Internet advertising alone made Google to earn more than $20 billion per year (source:  IT section of Sun Star website) which accounts 97 percent of its revenue.

Google stated that there are more than one million business organizations that are presently using Google software products although most of these users are registered to its open source version.
