According to the survey conducted, there are 49 percent of white women are considered as overweight, 66 percent of black women are also considered overweight and there are about 66 percent of Hispanic women are considered obese. For women in Asian Countries, there is only 22 percent who are considered overweight.

According to researchers that the metabolism rate for different races are different from each other. The obesity rate is different to many reasons like eating habits and exercise. The study revealed that the black women with obesity condition have lower metabolism compared to white women. The study also revealed that the metabolism rate of American women is getting slower compared to other races making them more difficult to loose more weight. Black women have difficult time in loosing weight compared to white women. The scenario is also the same for men. There is about 6 percent in the overweight rates between black men and white men. Family history is also a contributing factor for the difference. There is a high possibility of being overweight if both parents are overweight. Eating is also a major factor to consider. If you grow in an environment where there is uncontrolled way of consuming foods then, the chances of getting overweight is high.
