To generate more website visitors, you should take effective and proven ways on traffic generation. Below are compilation of effective and proven ways to generate website traffic.

1. Article submission. To attract more website visitors, it highly recommended that you create quality and unique articles that are related to your niche and submit those articles to online article directories. This will help your website or blog gain more back links. Readers will notice your site URL in the article and may certainly visit your website. 2. Exchange Links. This is considered as one of the most effective search engine optimization methods. This will help your website or blog to receive traffic from other websites and at the same time increase your Google Page Rank. Exchange links with other websites or blog that are related to your niche.

3. RSS Feed. Place RSS feed into your website or blog where readers can subscribe to. RSS stands for Rich Site Summary or Really Simple Syndication. This is a document type that will list website and blog updates that are available for syndication.

4. Directory Submission. People often visit web directories to look for relevant sites. Once your website or blog is listed in directories, visitors will certainly find your link and may evetually visit your site. 5. Posting on Blogs and Forums. Joining forums will definitely help increase your website exposure. I have used this method to generate traffic on my blog and it really works! Blogs and forums allow you to leave a live link in your signature line. The URL link will encourage Internet users to visit the link. So, you can get both direct and referral traffic. Again, choose forums and blogs that are relevant to your site.

6. Content, content, content. Write articles that your visitors will surely find interest. The first 8 seconds of website visit is very crucial. So create catchy title with quality contents. Other blogs used caricatures just to entice visitors to stay or to keep them coming back.

7. Search engine submission. Search engines are great source of targeted traffic. Submit your site to search engines as this will help your site to get indexed by the search engine spiders.

8. XML site map. Create an XML site map as this helps your individual site pages get indexed by search engines. For those newly published websites or blogs, Google has a good XML generator to create site maps.
